Free Lunch - Linocut Print 10"x8"
Unframed relief print of my original work “Free Lunch” depicting a raccoon who is pleased with his catch after spending the afternoon relaxing & fishing on the river. All prints come titled & signed.
These prints were lovingly hand-carved out of linoleum and printed with a rich black ink onto 10"x8" natural lightweight lokta paper with a traditional torn edge. . Lokta paper is a delicate looking (yet surprisingly strong!) handmade paper from Nepal. It is made of the inner bark of the daphne bush found at high elevations in the Himalayas and neighboring mountain ranges. The shrubs regrow this bark, making Lokta paper a sustainable resource!
Due to the process of printing linoleum blocks, each piece may contain minor variation. This adds to the charm of relief printing - each piece is unique.
I strive to limit paper and plastic waste as much as possible when packaging my prints so I do not include packing slips unless otherwise requested.
